More information about Doctor and the Medics tickets

By the time Dr and the Medics had their multi-million selling international Number 1 hit in
1986 with “Spirit in the Sky”, they already had a reputation as a great live band with a unique
show and approach to performing since their formation in 1982.
1985 saw them record an Indie Number 1 with the “Happy But Twisted” EP. Over the years
they have had 2 American dance number 1 hits and have released a number of albums to
critical acclaim. But it is for Spirit in the Sky and their amazing live show that they are most
identified with today. In fact their live reputation has seen them increasingly in demand to the
point where 2017 and 2018 have been their busiest years for over 25 years!
The band adapt their shows to suit each occasion and crowd. Their unique adaptations of 80’s
classics such as “Love shack”, “Tainted Love”, “You Spin Me Round” and many more plus, of
course.. “Spirit in The Sky” always guarantee to get the crowd in the party spirit! The band are
as at home playing to family audiences as they are to rock crowds and everything in between,
sometimes putting in a few of their original songs when suited to the event!

2015 saw Dr and the Medics return to the recording studio, releasing their acclaimed version
of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round” with a great video (easily found on Youtube). They
are currently recording their first album since 1996, two tracks from which already appear in a
horror film “Howling”, which features the Doctor in a small acting role!

The Doctor has also made his West End acting debut in 2018 appearing in “Poezest”, an Edgar
Allan Poe inspired one man show at The Bloomsbury Theatre in March. The show has since
appeared at The Manchester Fringe Festival and returns to London in 2019!
With a pending album and a busy gigging schedule the Dr and his Medics look forward to
entertaining you soon!
