The only weekly comedy night in the city Friday Night Comedy will keep the laughs coming thick and fast week after week. For each
show we provide four brilliant comedians hand-picked to give you the best night out for the lowest possible price.

We also have our amazing bar, offering a huge selection of craft beers, ales, lagers, wine, gin, rum, whiskey, cocktails, soft drinks
and much, much more. you can be sure Friday Night Comedy customers will all have a great night out! It’s an offering like no other
elsewhere in Chester!

We pride ourselves on bringing the best acts to Chester hosting events most days. Throughout the warmer months we host large live events in Rufus Court and our festivals days in the Alexander's Beer Garden. Please note that some events will require tickets to gain entry and at most events seating is unreserved and extremely limited. However, the dance floor will be in full swing!

Tuesday - Chester's longest running Open Mic Night. Sign up from 7:30pm

Wednesday - LatinMania Salsa classes from 7pm - Late

Thursday - The hottest local bands or tribute shows

Friday - Weekly Friday Night Comedy

Saturday - Great party bands and tributes to get the dance floor filed

Sunday - Live Jazz, Folk or Blues from 2pm

Chester's longest-running weekly comedy club returns with another strong line-up of circuit talent.

Three experienced comedians plus a bonus opening spot for a rising act trying to break onto the scene. Expect sharp stand-up, crowd work and big laughs in the intimate basement room at Alexander's.

This Week's Line-Up

Chris Lumb (MC)
"A warm and instantly likeable MC who quickly builds rapport with the audience. Very funny - the crowd loved him."

A quick-witted stand-up and experienced host known for improvisation and lively crowd interaction. Long-time performer with improv group The Discount Comedy Checkout, mixing stand-up, impressions and audience banter to keep the room buzzing from the start.

Faizan Shah
"One of my favourite new stand-up comedians."

Manchester-based rising comic with sharply written jokes and a calm deadpan delivery. A BBC New Comedy Awards semi-finalist and multiple gong-show winner who has quickly moved from open-mic success to regular club sets across the UK.

Steve Gribbin
"Satirical songs are hard to pull off successfully, but if anyone can do it, Steve Gribbin can."

A veteran of the UK circuit, Steve mixes stand-up with razor-sharp musical comedy. Armed with a guitar and decades of experience, his topical songs and biting satire have taken him from the Edinburgh Fringe to major comedy stages across the UK.

Also featuring
A bonus opening spot from a new act working their way onto the comedy circuit.
