Friday Night Comedy brings the very best comedians from the UK and beyond to Alexander’s Live in the heart of Chester.

The only weekly comedy night in the city Friday Night Comedy will keep the laughs coming thick and fast week after week. For each
show we provide four brilliant comedians hand-picked to give you the best night out for the lowest possible price.

We also have our amazing bar, offering a huge selection of craft beers, ales, lagers, wine, gin, rum, whiskey, cocktails, soft drinks
and much, much more. you can be sure Friday Night Comedy customers will all have a great night out! It’s an offering like no other
elsewhere in Chester!

We pride ourselves on bringing the best acts to Chester hosting events most days. Throughout the warmer months we host large live events in Rufus Court and our festivals days in the Alexander's Beer Garden. Please note that some events will require tickets to gain entry and at most events seating is unreserved and extremely limited. However, the dance floor will be in full swing!

Tuesday - Chester's longest running Open Mic Night. Sign up from 7:30pm

Wednesday - LatinMania Salsa classes from 7pm - Late

Thursday - The hottest local bands or tribute shows

Friday - Weekly Friday Night Comedy

Saturday - Great party bands and tributes to get the dance floor filed

Sunday - Live Jazz, Folk or Blues from 2pm

VIVA MORRISSEY - A sincere homage to Morrissey

Formed in 2007, and based in Manchester, Morrissey's birthplace, and home of The Smiths, Viva Morrissey are highly regarded for the authenticity and accuracy that they bring to their presentation.

Viva Morrissey's performances are based on Morrissey's present-day shows, which makes their live shows markedly different from those of tributes to The Smiths.


The Viva Morrissey live set includes classic Smiths songs, alongside some of Morrissey's best known and most loved solo material.

The Lizberries brings the Cranberries experience back to life right in front of you!

With their voice stunningly close to the original, the faithful sound, the wide
repertoire The Lizberries offers a great show; the long experience on the stages of
Italy, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Romania, Croatia and UK makes The Lizberries
the best Cranberries tribute band on the scene.

The band offers a show faithful to the original, electrifying and captivating, with
videos playing along the performance, but can also perform with acoustic
instruments, for a more intimate and elegant setlist.

The audience will enjoy a fascinating and engaging show and will be enchanted by
an ethereal voice, just like the original!

The Lizberries brings the Cranberries experience back to life right in front of you!

The Lizberries was officially born in Milan (Italy) in 2010, after a long career started
in 2002 as The Lizards, a rock-melodic band.

They started playing in Northern Italy venues, quickly coming to play in successful
clubs, such as the Alcatraz in Milan, and abroad: first in Switzerland, then in France
(Hard Rock Cafè in Nice) and finally at the Hey Day Festival in Bucharest, Romania.
Three tours in Ireland, home of the Cranberries, confirm the quality of the band.
The Lizberries has participated several times in the national gatherings of the official Cranberries fanclub and actively participate in the initiatives of Cranberries
Italia.
